Business Contacts have added fields to track investment-specific data about your contacts. Dropdown lists have been customized to show financial advisor choices.

There is nothing "locked down" by pinpoint Financial Advisor. You can change or add to any of these customizations whenever you desire.

You can use the BCM Contact record to track data, or, optionally, you can use the BCM Account record as a "container" for the Household data and main client. Then use Business Contacts to keep track of individual family members that are linked to a household. Prospects would be tracked as Business Contacts until you close a deal and create a Business Account for them.
New Views in Outlook have been added so your data is organized the way a financial advisor would look at it.

Opportunities can be used to track Money, in 2 different ways: (1) create opportunities to track money you're going after for a client or prospect to see how much you have in the pipeline; or (2) track "/v/vspfiles/Assets Under Management" to get a sense of which clients are your most important. Every new Opportunity should be linked to the business contact or account (household) so you can see all the money you're working with for someone in one place.

pinpoint Marketing tool is the software written by us to manage drip marketing campaigns and action plans. Now, it's built into pinpoint Financial Advisor to help you increase your business with Drip Marketing Plans and increase your productivity with Action Plans.

Drip Marketing Plans These are defined as a series of emails, letters, or postcards that you send to prospects or clients on a regular basis. We use the term "drip marketing" to denote consistent messages that you send to people to keep your name top of mind and build relationships. pinpoint Marketing tool allows you to create these Plans, apply them to one contact or a group, and then actually do the merge every day with just a few clicks. It's easy to handle your marketing activities all at once.
Action Plans We define these as a series of Tasks or Appointments that can be scheduled all at once. A good example is The 17 Things That Have to Happen After I Get A contract. In order to keep things from falling through the cracks, you can use BCM and Outlook to schedule tasks and meetings, starting from the Contract Date - and create plans using a Closing Date and working backwards. After you define your Plan, you can apply it to a contact with just a few clicks.
